136th Kentucky Derby

I love the Kentucky Derby. There is just something about that first Saturday in May that makes it feel like spring and the excitement of the summer is in the air.

I have a dream to get to the Kentucky Derby one day. I think it would be amazing to get all dressed up and wear a beautiful hat and stroll through the crowd and horses!

This year we thought about going to the Derby, but decided to go to New York instead. Did we ever make a good decision there! It poured the week before the Derby and the track was a mess. It definitely would have not been as much fun, but some people took full advantage of the weather!
And then there was the actual race. There was no real favorite this year, and with the track being sloppy it was wide open.

You sure can tell that this was the beginning of the race....And that this was the end of the race!

My dad always says that in horse racing it is all about the jockey and this race proved that. The jockey on the winning horse has won the Kentucky Derby the last 3/4 years! That is a pretty impressive feat.

Red Carpet Round-Up: 2010 MET Ball- Best Dressed

These ladies knocked it out of the park! They all look amazing and this could be the toughest best dressed ever!


1. Jennifer Lopez- Zuhair Muard
WOW! Jennifer has been rocking it for the last couple of weeks. This look blows me away. I love this dress, I love her hair, and perfect accessories for it! Absolutely stunning. Zuhair Muard is quickly becoming a favorite designer of mine.


2. Emma Watson- Burberry
Emma looked so beautiful in this custom made Burberry dress. I love her youthful hair and the ease of this dress. The little ruffle detailing is the perfect touch.


3. Zoe Saldan Calvin Klein
It should be so surprise to you that I love Zoe, and I also love Calvin Klein. So this look was perfection for me. She looks so elegant and understated, but amazing at the same time. No one consistently rocks a red carpet like Zoe.

4. Sarah Jessica Parker- Halson
I am so happy that Halson is making a comeback thanks to SJP as the creative director. If this look is a preview to the SATC 2 tour, we have great things to look forward too. I surprisingly even like the over sized flower in her hair.

5. Anne Hathaway- Valentino
Anna always looks timeless on a red carpet. This look is no exception. The only think I would change is to have her hair up. The necklace is the perfect accessory for this dress.

6. Clare Dane- Burberry

This is the 2nd Burberry look in the top 10. Clare is not one to be on the fashion radar, but she looks awesome in this dress. I love the necklace, and this dress fits her like a glove. The wavy hair is great too.

7. lake Lively- Marchesa

It is not surprise that Blake is a fan of the Marchesa brand. And so she should be, she looks amazing in all of their looks. She brings a punch of color to the red carpet with this stunning blue dress.

8. Kate Bosworth- Valentino

This to is Vaentino's 2nd visit in the top 10. Kate looks stunning here in this open backed gown. I love her hair. Definitely a timeless look. Classic Valentino.

9. Alessandra Ambrosio- Versace

Now this is how you do Versace. It is all about sex, sex, sex. As a Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra should know how to work a dress like this, and work it she does.

10. Renee Zellweger- Carolina Herrera

Finally Renee returns to her staple of Carolina Herrera. Renee looks amazing, and finally works her new hair in this great gown. This has classic and elegant written all over it.

Red Carpet Round-Up: 2010 MET Ball- Bad Days for Good People

10. Camilla Belle- Jason Wu
Camilla always looks amazing on the red carpet. I love Jason Wu and his designs, however it is this design that leaves me a little sour. I do not like how the one shoulder is done on this dress. I would have preferred it to be strapless. However, she still does look stunning.
9. Nicole Richie- Marc Jacobs
Nicole looks great here. I am not a fan of Marc Jacobs, but I love this dress. It really is beautiful. I just wished that Nicole would have tied her hair back so we could get the full effect of the dress.

8. Jessica Szohr- Versace

Jessica is wearing a tough dress to pull off. It looks amazing against her skin, but the dress has not fully warmed up to me yet...

7. Sienna Miller- Emilio Pucci

Sienna Miller looks the best I have seen her in a long time. I really like this dress with one exception. I hate mullet hems. Ladies, please stay away from this fashion trend. The shoes also kill this look for me.

6. Jessica Alba- Sophie Theallet

I love when celebrities wear new designers. At an event like this it gives them such a major PR boost! This look is great on Jessica, although it still falls a little flat. Maybe its the hair, it really is not working for me.

5. Kristen Bell- DVF

I love this shape and look on Kristen, minus the printed fabric. I think this dress would look much better is a solid. Plus the fabric reminds me of camo, and that has no place on the red carpet.

4. Mala Kunis- Vera Wang

At first glance I really like this look, and it probably should be closer to #1 on this chart. My problem is that Mala looks like she is drowning in this gown. Her hair, make-up and accessories are flawless though.

3. Eva Longoria- Marchesa

Whoever did Eva's hair and make-up for this event should be fired. She looks terrible. Plus I hate the hem on this dress too.

2. Marion Cotillard- Dior

Marion needs to learn that there are other designers out there other then Dior. This look is predictable and old. I do not like the dress, it would look much better strapless, and the hairstyle we have seen so many times before.

1. January Jones-YSL

January is another one that fell victim to bad make-up. She looks terrible! The gloves totally work against her. I do however, like the dress. But the rest of the look just kills it for me. Her shoe is much to heavy for this look as well.

Red Carpet Round-Up: 2010 MET Ball- Worst Dressed

So here are the 10 worst dressed of the night...

10. Malin Akerman- Temperly London
Malin was close to making it onto the oh so close list. Her make-up and hair are great, however the neck strap is really not working for me. Plus this dress is just to busy. It was a risk and it did not pay off.
9. Gwen Stefani- L.A.M.B
Gwen designed this dress from her own collection LAMB. Gwen stick to funky cool street wear. LAMB does not translate to the the red carpet. Your hair and make-up is flawless as usual though.

8. Gisele Bundchen- Alexander Wang
I would have liked this dress on Gisele if she lost the tassels. Plus her ponytail is a little messy. It should have be ultra sleek for this look. Definitely not her best MET outing.

7. Kristen Stewart- Chanel
I love Kristen's make-up, hair and attitude here. She finally is starting to look comfortable on the red carpet. I would have maybe liked this dress is the sheer skirt was the same satin as the dress. Plus the hem is a weird length.

6. Maggie Gyllenhaal- Louis Vuttion
Maggie has a really different sense of style from most Hollywood stars. I like the shape of this dress, however, it is the material that I am really not liking. Plus her hair looks like she got caught in a wind storm.

5. Christina Hendricks- L'Wren Scott
Dear Christina,
I know you recently got voted as one of the sexiest women alive. However, I do not need to see your breasts shoved in your face at every event you go to. PS. You have a gross purple fungus growing on your shoulder.

4. Rosario Dawson- Giambattisa Valli

Rosario's dress is cute, if you took off that terrible black band. Plus where the ruffles start makes you look like you have giant hips. Some large earrings would have been appreciated too.

3. Tina Fey- YSL

Oh Tina, you try so hard. I really like your hair and make-up on this occasion. However, a jump suit? Really? You are at the freaking MET Ball!! Lets try better next time!

2. M.I.A- Alexander Wang

MIA, you never seem to get it right. You look like a mess here, and I really do not like it. Although I have never liked anything you wear. Maybe time to get a stylist or fire the one you have.

1. Katy Perry- Cute Circuit

Last but definitely the worst Katy Perry. Katy really frustrates me as sometimes she is absolutely amazing! Oh this occasion, it is terrible. She decided to wear a dress with LED lights built in... Real grown up Katy. I hate this look, even without the LED lights it is still a mess. Thank god your hair and make-up look good. At least there is some part of you that is photographable.

Welcome to Snobwood

This weekend we had a Murder Mystery party to celebrate my birthday! It was great to get everyone together and have a fun night.

The synopsis of the game was that someone was murdered at the country club that we all belonged to. It was up to us to find out who was the murder. The game was really fun and everyone got into it.Stacy "Ophelia- the assistant golf pro" and Pascale "Lucy- crazy niece"

Oh So Pretty

As you have probably figured out by now, I have a love for fashion. One of my other loves is for house design! I cannot wait for the day to come that I get to decorate and design my own house.

The things I buy now, I plan of taking with me, so I make sure that they fit the color pallet of my dream house.

What is that color pallet you may ask? Well my house will be a combination of shades of gray, black, white, and plum. Below are a few pictures I found that I love and resemble what I would love to have!

This bathroom is a little to white for me but i love the mirrored vanity!
