Mayerthorp Fair

This past Sunday the family loaded up and headed north to the Mayerthorp fair. It is a great little 1 day show. Really low key, and fun to go to.
There is a circuit that runs these shows as well. I think there is about 5 shows in the circuit, and it is a great way to promote your cattle, have some fun, and get your cattle used to being a a show before they have to head to a major show.We decided to take 7 head, yes I know a little ambitious. However, we had a great day. My heifer calf (SLY Sweet Thing 12X) stood 3rd in class, the bred heifer (RJY First Date 1W) was Champion female, and the big bull (IPU Revolution 172U) was Champion Bull!
We took some pictures of the Bred and Bull once they had won. I will try to get them up when we get them back from the photographer.

Congrats!! I love small fairs. I'm going to miss Olds, as I grew up going to it. Good luck with your cattle this fall!
