Top 5 Looks- Jennifer Aniston

I think that it comes as no shock that I love fashion. Majority of the books, magazines, blogs, etc. that I read are about fashion, clothes, shoes, and the lives that come with all that. I have a few favorite people who I think are true fashionistas, and thought I would share some of their best looks.

Today we are starting with one of my all time favorites Jennifer Aniston.

#5. Short and Metallic.

Jennifer wore this dress to the 2006 Crystal and Lucy Awards. She always know how to show of her best assets, her legs, toned arms and that great smile!

#4. Neutrals.

When Jennifer decides to but away the blacks, she can rock a neutral dress like none other. Always pairing them with great shoes, she know what works for her, and what looks best on her body.

 3. The Black Gown

You are never shocked when Jennifer steps out in a black gown at a major event. The one thing that she makes sure is that it is a great black gown. The perfect accessories and hair are matched to create these great looks.

#2. The Suit

I personally think that no one can rock a suit like Jennifer. Always perfectly tailored and confidence there is no going wrong here. She oozes with sex appeal.

#1. Everyday Street Wear

Jennifer can dress what ever she would like on the Red Carpet, but personally I think that she looks best in her street wear. Casual and comfortable is always key, but looking great is never sacrificed. Jeans and a t-shirt are staples. Add a great jacket, a scarf, purse and comfortable heels and this classic look is complete.

Here are some shots from the farm last weekend!

Donor Photos

This past weekend we worked on some of the cattle we will show this fall, but we also pictured 2 of the donors that we are flushing right now.

A good picture is so important. Usually in an animals lifetime they will only have 1 or 2 pictures taken of them. Because it is not possible to always go and see the animals, they get judged by their picture. Their offspring will also get judged on what their dam or sire look like, so it is super important to get a good shot.

We think that these two pictures are really great photos and represent the animals well. We will use these photos in upcoming sale catalogs, our website, and probably just pictures around the house!

Southern Elegance

Each year it seems like we have one animal on the farm that becomes our fun project. For the past 2 years that has been Revolution, but now that his show career is over, it was time to find one to replace him.

The project is usually one of the better animals on the farm. We usually show and possibly sell them in the fall, but they are just a fun animal to have around, as people like to talk about them, come and see them at the stall, and if you are selling them you hope that there is lots of interest from potential buyers.

This year we will have a few projects at the farm, but one in particular is close to my heart, as I own 1/2 of her and her mother.

Southern Elegance is the first calf of the purchase that we made last fall, Elegant Force. We bought her last fall out of the Louisville sale, and have loved her ever since getting her home. She is one only a handful of Steel Force cattle in Canada, and out of a really strong cow family.

When we bought her she was in calf with a heifer. We were really excited about this calf, not only because of her mother, but also because she would be one of only a few BRM Explorer calves born in Canada. We kept a pretty close eye on Elle as she was about to calf, and we can say that from the day that she did finally calf to now we have not be disappointed at all!

Now back to Southern Elle. We have decided that we will be showing her this fall, and have been asked a few times if she would be for sale. Until we decide where her future will be, she is going to be my project this fall!

10 Questions with "the Eng"

It has been a few months now that I have been talking about "the Eng" so I thought that I would formally introduce him to my readers with a simple 10 Questions. I am sure there will be more to come in the upcoming months, but here is a start for all of you!

1. Where did you grow up?
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

2. What do you do for work?
Kind of a profession student right now... Working on my PhD in Mechanical Engineering while coaching hockey on the side

3. How did you meet Stacy?
Viva Las Vegas!! Her and one of her friends followed me and a buddy there to see Garth Brooks

4. What do you like to do for fun?
Golf, head out to the lake, play hockey, and occasionally like to party

5. If you were a bird or an animal what would you like to be?
I would probably be a bald eagle.  I'm not really a huge fan of birds but I have always thought eagles were awesome.  They're big birds that move through the air so effortlessly and just seem to demand respect and honor.  Plus it would be pretty cool to fly.

6. How can you describe yourself in a sentence?
Ridiculously good looking.
I'm kidding.... A huge closet nerd that believes in a strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity.

7. Do you have posters up on your room walls? Did you as a child?
I don't  have any posters up right now but I definitely did when I was younger.  Mostly hockey posters of favorite players or of my Montreal Canadiens!

8.  Did you like me instantly?
Yes I can say that I thought you were pretty cool as soon as I met you; however, I found out later that you didn't actually remember my name until about the second day in Vegas (somehow you thought it was Tyler) so that kind of took a few points off.

9. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, a younger brother and sister.  They're twins.

10. What is your biggest goal in life?
To keep everything in balance.  I like to work hard and aim to be successful in my career, wherever it may take me, but I want to have fun along the way.  I have seen too many people grow bitter in life even though they were successful because they never thought of having a little fun.  I guess when I look back on my life I want to be able to say I was a successful engineer but I also experienced everything I wanted to and was able to share that with my friends and family.

Wordless Wednesday: The Food of NYC

For Wordless Wednesday I thought that I would leave you with a sample of some of the food we ate in NYC. And yes if you are wondering I did gain 5lbs while there!

We started out with a trip to TAO. This place has been great all 3 times I have been there!

The next night we went to STK for another great supper

And no trip to NYC is complete without a trip to Katz's Deli!

Day at the Ball Park

On this trip to NYC we decided to do some new things and see some new part of the city. One thing that we really wanted to do was to go see a baseball game in Yankee Stadium. There was no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the summer.

The stadium itself is pretty cool. It is not in the nicest part of town, and as you come out of the subway it just stands on its own. It is pretty neat. It is definitely not excessive or over the top, but every practical and easy to get around, especially for its size.

With so much tradition and heritage behind this team it was really cool to see them pay tribute to where they came from. They had everything from a dedication to the Steinbrenner's to a flag raised from each MLB team in the league.

The field is in perfect condition with Yankee symbols and tributes everywhere. The best part may be that all of seats in the stadium are padded, so no hard plastic seats to sit in for 4-5hrs.

And of course there was the game. With A-Rod out with an injury all eyes were on the captain of the team Derek Jeter. It was really cool to see him play, even if he did not have a terrific game.

I would highly suggest going to a MLB game. I am not a fan of baseball at all, and had a blast at the game. After all, who can complain about drinking beer, and fresh lemonade, with nachos and hot dogs on a summer day!
