As many of you know, I am a huge MJ fan. If you are able to look past all of the controversy in his all to short lifetime, he was hands down the best artist that music has ever seen.
Last night during the MTV VMA's the first trailer for MJ's movie was released. This is a compilation of footage from his upcoming tour rehearsals.
The movie is released on October 28th for 2 weeks only. I know that I will be going once if not more to see this. I truly think that it will be one of my personal favorite films ever!

Movie Reviews
So I know I have been away for the last few weeks. But I have lots to catch everyone up on. I have had a lot of changes in my life, all what I think will be for the better, but like I said, more to come on that.
I have always been a huge movie fan. I tend to get to 2-3 movies a month, plus those that I will rent or watch online. Over the last 10 days I have seen 3 new movies and throughout that I would start offering my 2 cents on the movies I watch.
The Ugly Truth
One evening while out at the farm, my mom wanted to go watch this movie, so my mom, dad and I all came into the city to watch this film. Probably the first time that we had done that in over 5 or 6 years!
Anyways, I was really excited to see this movie. I had seen lots of previews for it, and always thought that it looked good, not great though. I am not a Katherine Heigl fan. I feel that she is a decent actress, but is such a diva, and does not have the talent to pull being a diva off.
Aside from the people in the film, I found the movie to be really funny. Much funnier then I expected. There are a few scenes that really are burst out laughing scenes. The movie had a great, although predictable plot line, and overall it is a really good easy watching film.
Inglorious Bastards
Monday night I went with a friend to watch the much anticipated Inglorious Bastards. I am not a Quentin Tarantino fan. I have never seen one of his films, mainly because none of them interest me. However, this one was different.
I really enjoy war movies, as long as they are not to dry, and as with all women, I enjoy Brad Pitt. This was another movie that I was pleasantly surprised by.
If you can watch through the gore and gruesome scenes, this movie is not only entertaining, but also has some really good humour in it. Some may hate this movie, as you read subtitles about 1/2 of the time, but trust me its worth it.
This movie has a great plot line, is entertaining, and keeps you entertained till the very end. I will warn you that it is quite long in length, but worth every moment.

So I know this movie is a little old now, but I had never seen it. A good friend came over and we rented it as something to do tonight.
This movie has tons of laughs and again although predictable, it was a great plot, and just a easy watch. This is the type of movie you could watch over and never get tired of.
As a women, it gives you a funny incite to what guys are like when we are not around. I can truthfully say that I don't understand it all, but hey at least it is good comedy...

Rock Legends Come To Town
Last night I had the honor and privilege to see the legendary band AC/DC perform in Edmonton. Despite the down pour of rain, and the lightening storm, it was hands down the best concert that I have ever seen.
Every bit hit, plus several new songs off their new CD- Black Ice were played. The special effects were outstanding. From the canon's shooting, to the life size train, and the video's. The military helicopters and planes even flew over the stadium before the concert. Everything was first class.
We also had great floor seats which made it even better! I would highly advise anyone to go and see this band before you no longer have a chance. I know given the opportunity I would be there in a moment.

The Slanted Truth
Each month at work I receive 3 or 4 Event magazines. Some of these have really great ideas and information in them, and others have a very slanted angle of what they want their reader to hear. Typical of any kind of publication. The common theme through all of them is the "greening" of events.
In my latest issue of The Planner, there was a article on Reducing you Carbon "foodprint" The article was filled with statistics that really bothered me. They were extremely one sided and but the agriculture industry in a very poor light.
Below are some of the stats that were included:
As to the other two statements, it is statements like those that make the agriculture industry as difficult as it is. The work that producers and producers associations do is so damaged by these statements.
In every event that I plan I make sure that beef is served 2-3 times, and that there is meat at each meal. It is something that I believe in and will continue to as long as I am planning events!

A Great Weekend
This weekend was a great one! I finally was able to get back to the farm and start to work on some cattle for this fall. Halter breaking Revolution (our new yearling bull) is going great, and I finally was able to see my other calves as well.
I was able to get a golf game in as well shooting a 58, my best game in a long time! Just need to improve on my chipping and putting, and I will be well on my way to reaching my 101 in 1001 goal of shooting a round of 100 or better.
Sunday night when I got home, I was able to finally watch one of Keith's football game. For those of you that do not know my good friend Keith, he is a member of the Saskatchewan Roughrider's football team in the Canadian Football League. As a defensive lineman, he has an important job, but not always the most exciting one. I still think that its important to watch and support him, and as much as I used to hate watching football, I don't mind it now.
Last nights game was very different though. Only a few minutes into the game Keith scored a touchdown!! This was his first in his pro career, and you could tell how excited he was. I have posted the link below so you can watch his play, and reaction. Next time, he will need to work on his touchdown dance though...

101 in 1001
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

My First True Love
So for those of you that don't know, I am a true fashion lover. I have several blogs that I follow that are dedicated to fashion. One of my favorites is Red Carpet Fashion Awards.
Although most of the looks and pieces that they feature are all high end designers and looks that I can only dream of having, I was extremely pleased to see one of the postings there today.
Zara's new collection of fall/winter clothing was just released today. I am absolutely in love with this collection. It has recreated many pieces from other lines that I absolutely love. Below are 3 pictures of items that I love. I can only home that I can find them in Edmonton. Oh and the over the knee boots are also to die for!
