As many of you know my sister turned 30 last month. She decided that as part of her celebration she would host another Crystal Cattle Beauty Swap. This is my third swap, and I was thrilled to be paired up with Amanda this time around.
Amanda and I have been friends for a long time, and about 8 years ago we sort of became distant cousins. Through marriage, adoption and half siblings, Amanda is now my 2nd cousin's sister. Like I said, we are kind of family!
Last week I received my package on a rainy and crappy day so this bright pink surprise turned my day around! First of all I was greeted by some Peeps, which I had never tried before! Here are a couple of the other products that I received.
Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder
Bronzing power is something that I normally do not carry in my make up bag. Part of it is my fear to look like I belong on Jersey Shore, and the other is that I have found it hard to find a colour that looks good with my fair skin. I got the "Blondes 02" colour of this and it really is amazing. The price is definitely not in the #ccbeautyswap budget, but I love what it does to my skin.
SEPHORA COLLECTION Outrageous Curl – Dramatic Volume And Curve Mascara
I love mascara, and so does Amanda. She sent a sampler of this mascara and I am thrilled that she did because I can't say I would have ever looked at this product on its own. I am sure that Sephora brands are just fine, but there are ones that I have never looked at in the store. The brush is very unorthodox, and probably would have scared me away as well. However, this is one of my favorite mascaras that I have ever tried! If you love dark long and thick lashes, take a look at this product!
Thanks again Amanda for spoiling me, and can't wait to see what everyone else got in their packages.

The Dirty Thirty
Today is a big day, today is my big sisters 30th birthday! Although we may have only spent one birthday together in the last 12 years, I thought I would take moment to celebrate this milestone for her.
Many of you have come to know her has Crystal Cattle, Crystal Blin or the blonde lady with the camera in her hands. To me she has always been my big sister. As with most sisters we have had our differences, but she has always been there for me when needed.
We started out in the show ring together, piled the make-up and hair spray on for dance performances, and have been lucky enough to be each others Maid of Honor. Through our travels we have even found a way to "bring" each other along for the journey to NYC and Australia.

Over the last 30 years we have all been blessed to get to grow up and know Crystal. Things have changed a bit since 1985. Simmental heifers have gotten a little less leg and a bit more red. The clothes are a little less poofy and the hats a little lower.

Regardless of how things have changed, we all want to wish you a great 30th birthday and many more memories in the next 30 years!

Red Carpet Round-Up: Academy Awards 2015
This year's awards have just wrapped up and I have to say that the show was great. Neil Patrick Harris did an amazing job as host, and the musical performance were entertaining and kept the show exciting through all the less exciting awards!
Since the Academy Awards are the big show of the awards season, I thought I would breakdown the best and worst dressed in a different way. So here we go!
