Item of the Week #3

Ah the color camel. You can mark my words right now, this color is going to be huge for fall 2010! It is already showing up all the place and it is only going to get bigger.

To me the perfect way to incorporate this into your wardrobe is with a camel trench. Ideally I would love to do this with a classic Burberry trench, but the $1500+ price range does not really work for me.

I love this option for a warmer fall day

It comes with a great price point of $39.95 at H&M.

Red Carpet Rounds Up: 2010 Emmy's Best Dressed

We have 14 women who have made it to the best dressed of the 2010 Emmy's. Keep scrolling through as the best are saved for last!

Tina Fay- Oscar de la Renta
Tina can be really hit or miss on the red carpet. I think this dress works great with her personality, yet still looking great.
Kathy Griffin-Oscar de la Renta
Kathy is another quirky woman. This dress fits her like a glove, and really makes her look like anything but a d-lister.
Amber Riley-Melissa Masse
I love that we seen so many unknown designers on the red carpet. This Melissa Masse dress may not be a stand out, but it makes Amber look like a greek goddess.
Kim Kardashian- Marchesa Resort 2010
Kim Kardashian is know for wearing tight fitting, short dresses. This was a great change for Kim. She really does look great. And awesome hair too!
Julie Benz- Pamela Roland
3 white dresses in a row! I love the side detailing on this dress, along with her hair. Polished perfection.
Jane Lynch-Ali Rahimi
Jan Lynch can be another hit or miss. Unlike Glenn Close, he competed with the younger women on the red carpet. A really great look for Jane, maybe one of her best red carpet appearances yet!
Dianna Argon- Caroline Herrera
I was really undecided about this look. However, the more I look at it the more I love it. Dianna always looks stunning on the red carpet. Her hair and accessories are perfect. This dress is a real show stopper to, but in a quiet and beautiful way.
Jayma Mays- Burberry Prorsum
This look is pure perfection for me. I even don't mind the gold jewelry, and I am not a fan of gold!
Emily Deschanel- Max Azaria Atelier
This is another risk dress. I love the color though, and the accessories are great as well.
January Jones- Alexander McQueen Resort 2010
I pretty much jumped for joy when I saw this dress. I was going to include it on my wish list, however, I didn't think that anyone would dare wear this dress. I am a huge McQueen fan, and was excited to see someone finally wear something from this collection!
Kyra Sedgewick- Monique Lhuillier
Simple yet stunning. I love the color and shape of this dress. She makes looking this gorgeous look so easy.
Lea Michele- Oscar de la Renta
Yet another Oscar de la Renta dress. It really was his night to showcase his creations. I love this dress on Lea. The perfect mix of fun and sophistication. I just wish that her hair was pulled back.
Maria Menounos- Ralph & Russo
The runner up is this showstopping Ralph & Russo dress. This was a custom creation with over 17,000 Swarovski crystals on the dress.
This dress deserves a 2nd picture as the back is my favorite part!Best Dressed of the 2010 Emmy's: Claire Danes- Armani Prive
Oh how excited I was to see this Armani Prive dress on the red carpet! It was one of my picks for my wish list. Claire does this dress total justice looking amazing. I was also pretty excited to see her win for her role as Temple Grandin.

Red Carpet Round-Up: 2010 Emmy's Worst Dressed

This year 14 ladies had the privilege of making my Worst Dressed list for the 2010 Emmy's. Some are definitely worse then others, and some are just major let downs in the fashion department. I will warn you the get worse the further down you go.

Julia Ormond-
This dress has amazing color. Unfortunately, I really dislike the top, and her hair is a mess.
January Jones- Atelier Versace
I loved this dress on the model. And it does not look terrible on January. The things that kill this dress are the heavy shoes and the mess of her hair.
Lo Bosworth-aren Caldwell
This is a cute dress, for a Sunday brunch for a 40 year old woman. Lets try to step it up next time Lo.
Terri Seymour-
I have a few issued with this. The first is the peak a boo bra. Your are on the red carpet, lets tuck it away. Second is I hate short dresses on the red carpet for larger award shows.
Angela Kinsey-Romona Keveza
This girl just looks like she is going to a funeral. Lets have a bit of fun with dressing up.
Keri Russell- Cathy Waterman
This girl looks like she is headed to the beach, not to walk down a red carpet. Again lets try again next time.
Heidi Klum- Marchesa
Yes we know you are a supermodel, and that you have long beautiful legs. However, next time please remember the rest of your dress of the red carpet.
Carrie Preston-Makoto Takada
This is a case of someone taking a risk and it not working out. She was by no means the worst of the night, but definitely not a winner.
Sofia Vergara- Carolina Herrera
This woman is stunning, a real true beauty. She still looks beautiful in this gown, but I know she can look 1000 times better. Huge disappointment here.
Kristen Wiig-
I think this dress would look decent without the shoulder parts. Again another risk that didn't pay off.
Glenn Close-Rubin Singer
It is tough for older women to compete with the young beauties on the red carpet. But you can do some much better then this.
Lauren Graham- Yigal Azrouel
Yet another case of a risk that did not pay off. The dress is not terrible, but it just does not make Lauren look her best.
Jewel- Zuhair Murad
This one really hurts me as Zuhair Murad is one of my favorite up and coming designers. However, this dress totally washes Jewel out. I also just do not like the dress, or the earrings.
Worst Dressed- Rita Wilson- Prada
Ah my hate for the Prada brand continues. I hate this dress, and those shoes... wow! That is one way to say over the top.

2010 Emmy Wish List

Ah that time of year again. Another red carpet, and beautiful gowns on beautiful people.

We are just about to start the 2011 Spring Fashion Shows, so the selection on gowns is dwindling. Hopefully no one steps out in a repeat dress, and that some custom gowns are made for the occasion.

Here are some of my favorite gowns from the Spring, Fall, Resort, and Couture shows this year.

Oranges- Orange is a color that is not worn very much on the red carpet. But I love these gowns. Definitely a head turner.

Versace- Fall 2010

Oscar de la Renta- Resort 2010

Alberta Faretti- Resort 2010

Blue-Blue is always a classic color. An with so many different variances in color to choose from, it is a great option on all women.

Reem Acra- Resort 2010

Monique Lhuiller- Resort 2010

Elie Saab- Spring 2010

Yellow- Yellow can be a hard color to pull off. But these gowns are to beautiful to turn down.

Monique Lhuillier- Resort 2010

Elie Saab- Spring 2010

Neutrals- We are seeing more white and neutrals on the red carpet all the time. It is a great color year round.

Gucci- Resort 2010

Dior- Resort 2010

Badgley Mischka- Resort 2010

Badgley Mischka- Resort 2010

Armani Prive- Spring Couture 2010

Gem Tones- These colors have been and always will be popular. They work on all skin tones and look great on the red carpet.

Reem Acra- Resort 2010

Givenchy- Spring Couture 2010

Red- Oh red. One of the classic colors. If you want to turn heads wear this color. And no need to worry about blending in with the red carpet in these dresses!

Monique Lhuillier- Resort 2010

Monique Lhuillier- Resort 2010

Ellie Saab- Fall Couture 2010

Ellie Saab- Fall Couture 2010

Alexander McQueen- Resort 2010

Embellishments- Heavy embellished gowns have become extremely popular the last few years. They range in color and shape, but these are 3 of my favorites left to be wore.

Monique Lhuillier- Resort 2010

Elie Saab- Fall 2010

Armani Privie- Fall Couture 2010

Black- Black has been and will be a staple on the red carpet. To wow me it has to me an amazing black gown. Both of these I think are just that.

Alexander McQueen- Resort 2010
